Please join us for an evening in our brand new space in the Flatiron! With just over seventy people in the office (half Engineering, Product, and Design), we’re thrilled to move into a place where we can move our arms around again!
Since opening in 2014, Dropbox NYC has worked on high-impact products critical to Dropbox’s success. At this event, you’ll have the opportunity to hear more about what Dropbox is up to and the New York team’s role in realizing its vision. Joining us from our San Francisco office will be Akhil Gupta, our VP of Infrastructure, and other leaders in product and infrastructure engineering.
Kim Bost, a Dropbox NYC Product Designer, will provide insights on how teams at Dropbox work together to create a product that helps simplify the way the world works together.
Enjoy these talks over food and drinks provided by Belle Harlem. Get the exclusive chance to try Chef Darryl Burnette's unqiue twist on classic American comfort food before Belle Harlem's grand opening.
We’re looking forward to having you visit our beautiful new office, complete with a spectacular roofdeck! Space is limited so request your invite ASAP!

Akhil Gupta is the VP of Infrastructure at Dropbox, responsible for Dropbox’s physical and technical infrastructure, technology operations, and network security. In this role, Akhil and his team ensure that the hundreds of petabytes of data stored in Dropbox are safe and available to Dropbox’s users around the world. Prior to Dropbox, Akhil oversaw Google’s search ads infrastructure and products, where he was responsible for building and scaling the infrastructure that serves ads on Google.com.
In 2014, Matt Spitz joined Dropbox as a member of the NYC's founding team after working at a number of smaller companies in New York. As Dropbox NYC has grown, he has had both individual contributor and manager roles in product and infrastructure engineering. Currently, he leads a team that is responsible for how users collaborate on content in Dropbox.
Chef Darryl is a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America. He was previously Executive Chef at Bergdorf Goodman’s BG restaurant, and 24 Prince, where The New York Times said that he had “taken a well-worn formula and given it some polish,” awarding them “Top Pick”. His restaurant Belle Harlem, opening in late September, is a unique chic 12-seat chef’s table in Central Harlem. Chef Darryl and his team will offer an evolving menu in an intimate space based on locally sourced ingredients and products.
